Project Description
As the lead designer, I developed the brand identity for a restaurant in Chicago housed within a historic former hat factory. Drawing inspiration from archival advertisements uncovered during the research phase, I translated elements of vintage typography and graphic style into a contemporary logo system. Nautical references rooted in the restaurant’s seafood concept—paired with subtle sailor photography—allowed the identity to honor the building’s industrial past while establishing a modern, elevated presence.
I managed the project from concept through final execution, ensuring the brand balanced heritage with a refined, contemporary experience.
